Hannah Berman is a journalist and nonfiction writer based in New York City. She is the Program Director at Skylight, a publication focused on residential decarbonization, where she oversees editorial development, reporting, and community education initiatives. As a freelance writer, Hannah has covered food, culture, and New York City news for several years, bringing a sharp eye for detail and a narrative-forward approach to every story she tells. With a background in literary writing, education, and public-facing journalism, Hannah brings a unique blend of clarity, accessibility, and narrative craft to Oova’s content. Her reporting experience allows her to break down complex topics—whether scientific, policy-driven, or medically nuanced—into stories that resonate with readers and empower them to better understand their health. Hannah is currently completing her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at The New School, where she holds a merit scholarship. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in English (Double High Honors) and Italian Studies, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
