About
Aparna (Amy) Divaraniya, PhD, is the CEO and Founder of Oova, a women’s health company bringing clinical-grade hormone testing into the home. A geneticist by training, Amy began her career developing analytical tools and biomarker strategies in oncology and immunology before turning her focus to women’s health, an area she saw as overdue for meaningful innovation. While completing her PhD in Genetics and Genomics Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Amy was misdiagnosed with PCOS and spent 18 months trying to conceive. Experiencing those gaps in care firsthand inspired her to build technology that gives women accurate, personalized insights into their hormonal health. That vision became Oova. Under Amy’s leadership, Oova has evolved from a research project into a clinically validated platform used by fertility clinics, physicians, and individuals tracking ovulation, cycle patterns, menopause transitions, and more. Her work has been featured by Forbes, CNBC, Tech:NYC, and leaders across women’s health innovation. Before founding Oova, Amy worked as a Senior Scientist at Roche, where she led efforts to modernize lab workflows and develop data-driven tools for global research teams. She has published peer-reviewed research in genomics, transcriptomics, and biomarker discovery.
